Temple Shalom has a long and rich culture of tzedakah, consistent with our Jewish tradition to express charity and feelings of sorrow and joy through charitable contributions. Such giving is common in celebration of birthdays, B’Nai Mitzvah, weddings, anniversaries, births, remembrances of losses, and expressions of gratitude to others for good deeds. Your generosity, large and small, sustains Temple Shalom, ensures that its programs support the spiritual needs of our members and allows the Temple to fulfill its broader community and charitable missions.
It is the generosity of our members above and beyond dues that enable us to welcome and provide a Jewish home for all members regardless of their individual financial circumstances. And giving to Temple Shalom involves more than just monetary support. Temple Shalom cannot exist and be the community it is without the volunteer leadership and energies of the entire community.
