Some Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Can I try out a service at Temple Shalom?
  2. You are more than welcome to attend any of our services. We meet for worship a variety of days and times during the week as described in the service schedule. Please note that during the high high holidays only those with tickets can attend services due to limited space.

  3. Can I visit the temple for a tour?

We are happy to show any interested person or family our congregation. Please contact our temple office for a day and time to visit.

  4. I am interested in having my children attend Temple Shalom's Religious School. Do we have to be a member?

Yes, however you are welcome to enroll your children for one year before joining the congregation.

  5. I don't have a great deal of money.  Is there any flexibility in dues?

Yes, we have a "fair share" approach.  You can work with Alan Lewis, our Financial Secretary at alanflewis@aol.com to come up with the appropriate dues structure.

  6. Do my membership dues include religious school tuition?

The religious school tuition is a separate fee, but is significantly reduced thanks to all temple membership dues.

  7. How can I learn more about volunteering for a temple committee?

Volunteers in our congregation are a critically important part of our congregation. Please see the list of committees, and contact the committee chair.

  8. How can I make an extra contribution to the temple?

There are several special funds that you can contribute to, helping the temple in the way you best see fit.
