After Charlottesville: The Battle Against Bigotry Shabbat Dinner

Friday, February 23, 2018

Dinner at 6:00 PM—RSVP

Shabbat Service at 7:30 PM with guest speaker
Doron Ezickson, Regional Director, Anti-Defamation League, Washington, D.C.

The surge in reports of hate crimes targeting Jews, Muslims, African-Americans and LGBT people has left our families, friends and neighbors feeling unsafe. We have an obligation as Jews and as Americans to speak out to combat the modern reemergence of hate that threatens our society.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice, and bigotry. Mr. Ezickson joined ADL as the Regional Director of the Washington, DC Region in January 2017. He serves as a member of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He was previously a law partner in the offices of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and an adjunct faculty member of the Georgetown University Law School. In Washington, DC, Doron has served on the board of directors of the DC Central Kitchen and A Wider Circle, two local nonprofits that battle hunger and poverty.

Presented by the Tikkun Olam and Membership Engagement Committees
