This past Sunday we had our first Tefillah session (with the Cantor) in which we learned the Barchu. In class, we learned about blessings and why we say blessings (to say thank you to G-d for what He has given us). We talked about what we could say blessings for (baby siblings, parents, toys, home, and as one student said, ducks) and practiced our Shabbat blessings for the candles, challah, and wine. The students had Israeli dance. We then had snack and break. After, we illustrated the different things we are thankful for (including the ducks) which are now hanging in our classroom.
Any questions, please let me know!
