Dear First Grade Families,
Please join us on Sunday, October 15th for our First Grade Jewish Family Education Program to learn about Noah at the National Zoo.
All students need to arrive promptly at the Visitor's Center just inside the Connecticut Avenue entrance at 9:30 AM along with an adult (parent, grandparent, family friend, etc.). There will be bagels, but please bring your own beverage. We will finish promptly at noon. Siblings are welcome to join us.
The National Zoo is located at 3001 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008. There is a flat $22 fee for Zoo parking. Free street parking can be found at metered spots along Connecticut Avenue on Sunday. Public transportation is also available. The Connecticut Avenue entrance is equidistant from both the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan and the Cleveland Park metro stations. There is also a Metrobus stop directly in front of the Zoo.
Anyone who is interested in carpooling from Temple Shalom on Sunday morning could "reply all" to this email and change the subject line to "Carpooling to Zoo." From there, interested parties can contact one another to make arrangements without including the whole group.
Please let Carri Wasserberg (firstname.lastname@example.org) know by Friday morning if you need help securing childcare for another student who will be at temple for religious school that morning.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. In case you need to reach me while at the zoo, my cell phone number is 314-401-4809.
We look forward to learning with you!
